Paprec and Fundación Integra have signed a collaboration agreement to promote the labour inclusion of people at risk of social exclusion, people with disabilities and women who are victims of violence. As a partner company of the Foundation, Paprec’s purpose is to support the most vulnerable people by helping them improve both their employability and their quality of life through their integration into Paprec’s workforce.

Paprec, a leader in the recycling sector, operates across the entire waste management value chain. The Paprec Group, firmly committed to sustainability, has joined Compromiso Integra, the network of companies committed to socially responsible employment created by Fundación Integra in 2015.

This is a highly important challenge in which Paprec assumes a strong commitment to promoting equal employment opportunities for vulnerable groups: homeless people, individuals with criminal records or who have overcome addictions, victims of violence, prostitution or trafficking, and people with disabilities.

Earlier this February, the two organisations formalised this alliance through the signing of an agreement by Sylvain Cortes, CEO, and Ana Botella, Executive President of Fundación Integra.

What does this alliance between Paprec and Fundación Integra mean?

Sylvain Cortes, CEO, highlighted during the signing ceremony that: “At Paprec, we believe in the importance of creating real opportunities for everyone. Diversity, Kindness, Excellence and Team Spirit are values displayed on the walls of all our plants and branches. Joining Integra reinforces our commitment to inclusion and diversity, ensuring that when we seek talent, we do so with an open and socially responsible perspective. We are convinced that employing people at risk of exclusion and people with disabilities not only enriches our company, but society as a whole.”

Ana Botella thanked Paprec for its commitment, highlighting the significant impact this new alliance will generate. According to Ana Botella, “employment is the best social measure. There is nothing more important for a company than creating jobs. By employing people at risk of social exclusion, you are giving them the second chance they need to move forward with their families and improve their quality of life.”

As a result of this collaboration, the organisation plans to begin offering employment opportunities within the company to Foundation candidates whose profiles match the professional roles sought by the company. In addition, corporate volunteering programmes will soon be implemented with Fundación Integra, enabling company professionals to improve the employability of the Foundation’s candidates by delivering pre-employment training workshops.

Fundación Integra, with the support of companies such as Paprec, has facilitated more than 24,500 jobs since 2001 for people who, thanks to employment, have been able to move forward with their families.
