On 23 September, Paprec took another step forward in its growth strategy with the acquisition of an 80% stake in GBP Metal Group, a family-owned company based in Valencia specialising in the recycling, treatment and recovery of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Headquartered in Xàtiva (Valencia), the company operates two industrial facilities and has a team of 26 employees. In 2025, GBP Metal Group marketed more than 31,000 tonnes of materials and generated revenue of €14.2 million, consolidating its position as a leading player in the metal recycling sector.
Founded in 1959, the company has built a strong track record in the comprehensive management of scrap and metals, covering the collection, sorting, shredding, treatment and recovery of materials. It also provides logistics, transport, industrial demolition, dismantling and end-of-life vehicle management services.
The Bellver family, which has been involved in the project since its inception, will continue to play an active role in the management and development of the company, bringing its experience and industry expertise to this new chapter alongside Paprec.
This acquisition strengthens Paprec Metal’s capabilities in metal recycling and recovery, while further consolidating the Group’s growth and presence in Spain.
