Paprec strengthens its growth in Spain with the acquisition of Palets del Valle, a family-owned Basque company specialising in the management and recovery of non-hazardous waste. This transaction marks the Group's first industrial presence in the Basque Country, a strategic region known for its strong industrial activity.
Founded by the Orue family, Palets del Valle operates a facility of more than 25,000 m² in Arrigorriaga (Bizkaia), as well as another site in Burgos. Every year, the company manages over 100,000 tonnes of waste, focusing on wood recycling, biomass production, and pallet recovery.
With a workforce of more than 30 employees, its own transport fleet, and over 100 containers in operation, the company brings extensive expertise and in-depth knowledge of the local market. Through this integration, Paprec strengthens its presence in northern Spain and expands its capacity to deliver innovative environmental solutions to the industrial sector.
